Content Marketing

Content Marketing is the key to building an effective marketing strategy for your business or organization. The more you understand the major social networks and how they work, the better you can plan. Understanding the “why” of each network and how they interact together will help you build a better content marketing strategy. In this workshop you will learn how the major social media networks interact to create a strong marketing platform.

At the core, social media marketing is to provide value to visitors. This can be information, entertainment, or to socialize. Over emphasizing your brand or products is the quickest way to lose visitors interest.

We will explain the three main areas of social media marketing:

  1. Your Website & Blog,
  2. Content Creation platforms, and
  3. Content Promotion platforms.

At the center of your marketing plan is your website/blog. Current trends show a little less blogging. Instead, there is a trend to use more landing pages on your website. Either way content is still king and you are creating more searchable and valuable content for your client.

Next we will cover social networks used for content creation. Although most social networks do both, some are better for content creation. We will show some of the best ways to integrate the great content you produce back into your website.

Social networks like Facebook and Twitter are mainly used to promote your content. We will cover several popular social networks used for promotion and highlight some best practices. Integrating these three main functions will give you a strong systematic marketing plan.

The final step for your plan is to create a marketing calendar. You will create one in this workshop. Having a great marketing calendar will help you implement your plan and keep you disciplined through out the year.

To complete your content marketing plan we will cover email marketing. Email marketing is still a powerful marketing tool and often overlooked as part of a content marketing plan. We will cover best practices and how to create a strong email list that gets you results.
